M5 Tattoo Studio is located in Helsinki, Katajanokka, in a charming backyard atelier. It is not a typical walk-in tattoo studio; the idea is to offer a private space for customers, where they can feel comfortable, relax, and have a personal tattoo experience in a cosy and exclusive atmosphere. The studio invites national and international visiting artists and occasionally curates exhibitions.
Martino believes that quality is a key aspect of his work. Creating tattoos that last for years and stay fresh and clean is a priority for him. He also wants to provide an exceptional tattoo experience, creating a unique design for each customer. He truly believes that each person is different and that the tattoo design has to relate to each person’s style and character. Getting a tattoo is often an important moment in a person’s life, as it stays with them forever, and he believes it has to be considered carefully. That’s why a big part of his work is not only making the tattoo, but also preparing the design together with the client, discussing wishes and visions.
Martino brings his artistic style and skills to draw on paper and then creates an artwork on the person’s body. Getting a tattoo is, for many people, a very personal moment, and it often has a deeper meaning than just an aesthetic decoration; it can be a kind of ritual that is healing or provides strength.
Martino originally comes from Milan, Italy, and has a background in illustration and comics. Over the last 16 years, he has worked in tattooing, including several years in Berlin, bringing over a decade of experience in inking. His style is rich in detail and contrast, specializing in black and white tattoos, but he is open to the wishes of customers and always interested in new ideas.
Pricing:
100 € / hour for large projects.
For small tattoo projects, pricing is per design, not per hour.
